The Istanbul Archaeological Museums is a group of three museums located in the Eminönü district of Istanbul. The museums house over one million artifacts from various civilizations, including the Ottoman Empire, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. The main building, the Archaeology Museum, contains a vast collection of artifacts from the ancient Near East, including the famous Alexander Sarcophagus. The other two museums, the Museum of the Ancient Orient and the Tiled Kiosk Museum, contain artifacts from ancient Mesopotamia, Persia, and the Ottoman Empire.
