The Dohány Street Synagogue is a historic synagogue in Budapest, built in 1859 in Moorish Revival style. It is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. The synagogue has a rich history, having been the site of many important events, including the coronation of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary in 1867. It also houses a Jewish Museum and a Holocaust Memorial.
