Shoes on the Danube Bank is a memorial in Budapest, located on the bank of the Danube River. It was created in 2005 to honour the Jews who were killed by fascist Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest during World War II. The memorial consists of 60 pairs of shoes made of iron, representing the victims who were ordered to take off their shoes before being shot and falling into the river.
