Heroes' Square is one of the major squares in Budapest, located at the end of Andrássy Avenue. It was built in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin. The square is dominated by the Millennium Monument, which features statues of Hungarian leaders and the Archangel Gabriel.
