The Chora Church, also known as the Church of the Holy Saviour in Chora, is a medieval Byzantine Greek Orthodox church located in the Edirnekapı neighborhood of Istanbul. It was built in the 11th century and contains some of the best-preserved Byzantine mosaics and frescoes in the world. The church was converted into a mosque in the 16th century and then into a museum in 1948.
