Heroes' Square is one of the major squares in Budapest, located at the end of Andrássy Avenue. The square is dominated by the Millennium Monument, which was built in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin. The monument features statues of the most important Hungarian historical figures.
