Apfelwein, also known as Ebbelwoi or cider, is a traditional drink in Frankfurt. It is made from fermented apple juice and has a slightly sour taste. Apfelwein is often enjoyed in traditional apple wine taverns called 'Ebbelwoi-Kneipen', where locals gather to socialize and drink. It is usually served in a glass called 'Geripptes' and can be enjoyed either pure or mixed with sparkling water, known as 'Sauergespritzter'.
